Throwing an exciting fondue party tonight?
We tried to compile several really easy to follow tips to help you throw an exceptional fondue party to create memories.
So you are going to have fun and impress your friends with some funky fondue recipes. Our Monique the fondue expert says to put only one cheese family in the melting pot. Here is the table of cheese families to help you select the right friends in a single pot:
Make sure you have plenty of your favorite holiday songs playing in the background. Meanwhile enjoy conversation so keep the the music volume at a moderate level. Light candles, turn off all other lights and create memories with your friends and family.
Use flavorful liquids only, such as broth, beer or wine. Avoid water! When adding wine to a cheese fondue recipe, we recommend to use a dry or semi-dry wine to help the proteins in the cheese melt more smoothly.
Use at least three electric fondue pots and place on separate tables to create separate food stations. This way, your guests can enjoy cheese fondue with vegetables and breads in one pot, entrees in another and creamy chocolate desserts in a third pot. Use fondue forks or skewers marked with different colors for easy identification, and have regular forks available so your guests don't eat off the skewers – they get hot!
Different pots for different fondue - ceramic fondue pots for cheese, chocolate, or other dessert fondues. Metal fondue pots for broth, oil, wine or beer fondue recipes in which the food is cooked in the pot.
Remember you are dipping and swirling from a common pot used by others as well. Try not to touch your lips or tongue to a fork that goes back into that pot.
